The Burning Man festival 2017 Just Concluded And The Photos Are Insane

Burning Man 2017 took place from August 27 – September 4, 2017 in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada. Participants join in to co-create Black Rock City, a temporary metropolis dedicated to art and community.

It is a temporary city in the desert created by the participants there. It sure isn’t your usual festival !

The Burning Man 2017 theme was ‘Radical Ritual’.

What you see below is the aerial view of the Black Rock City. The entire ground where the festival happens is called the ‘playa’.

“Beyond the dogmas, creeds, and metaphysical ideas of religion, there is immediate experience. It is from this primal world that living faith arises,” Burning Man’s website declares. “In 2017, we will invite participants to create interactive rites, ritual processions, elaborate images, shrines, icons, temples, and visions.” And it appears that, as always, participants let their wild sides out, posing on—or in front of—the different installation that dot the desert.”

There are various “Art Cars” roaming around the playa. Also known as “Mutant Vehicles” as they have been ‘mutated’ or changed from their original form. They need a license to be driven around.

Last year’s theme was Da Vinci’s Workshop. The 2017 focus is Radical Ritual. Given the festival’s radical core, it’s the best theme to pay homage to Burning Man’s past, while making way for new and futuristic ideas. This year’s theme certainly lived up to the Burning Man’s reputation.
