Philippines – Sail The Most Beautiful Secret Islands on Earth
There are island hopping trips for tourists and then there is THIS.Let us start off by telling you that this trip is not for everyone. This is not a luxury cruise or a general boat tour in the Philippines, more on that at the bottom of this page!
“Where The Hell Are We Going?”
Our unique voyage will take us through some extremely remote and untouched secret islands in Palawan, the Philippines’ westernmost region where jagged limestone islets stand like stone icebergs and cut diamonds.
Palawan, in case you have been living in a cave, has been awarded the world’s most beautiful group of islands award 2 years in a row now and if you check out the pictures gallery, you will know why!!
“OK, So How Are We Going To Get There ?”
Most people who even make it to the remote Palawan area in Philippines end up going to the most commercial and accessible of the Palawan Islands, which are beautiful nonetheless. But if you know anything about us, At BEEP we always go beyond the ordinary!
So this is a super special 5 day trip aboard a one-of-a-kind, magnificent, bamboo sailboat. The sailboat is made using ancient Filipino master maritime techniques and craftsmanship lineage of over 1000 years!!!
This is no ordinary boat….
With ancient tribal carving all over it, this is a boat made in our modern age to reflect Philippines proud maritime history and their Islander way of life. The 74 foot long boat is filled with tribal carvings and two huge decks for sitting, reading, sunbathing, chatting to your fellow BEEP Mates and taking in the incredible island views.
And This Is No Ordinary Voyage Either….
This is that journey where you bid farewell to all those tourist boats of Palawan and sail onwards to the remote, mysterious and undiscovered north of Palawan in the Philippines.
If you see another soul at sea here, you’re unlucky.
Several times a day we’d stop to explore secret snorkelling spots, hidden caves or picture-perfect bays where you can don your snorkel and mask and dive into the cool deep blue, seeking sunken shipwrecks, schools of tropical fish and other incredible and rare marine life or kayak your way through time and space.
The Bar is always open on the boat, so you can drink your beer and laze in the sun if that’s your thing !
“But Where Will We Stay and What About Food ?”
At the end of each day, we will dock at one of the several really remote island base camps on the way!
Each of these hidden and completely unexplored islands of Philippines has its own personality; a raw untouched island, a fishing village, an organic farm and even a hidden jungle lodge. There is no fixed route for our journey, those choices will be made along the way by the crew based on the group’s mood and the weather of course! This is what a real voyage is all about, unlike those touristy fixed itinerary tours.
Most nights we’d stay in individual wooden shacks in beds made up for us by the crew. Padded sleeping mats, mosquito nets to keep off the nasties, and clean sheets. Luxury!
Each meal we eat along the way will be prepared by our amazing cooks with freshly caught seafood and local organic produce, prepare for a feast and no less !!!
“Who Is This Trip For ? “
For the traveller who wants to go where few tourists have gone, the trip is a dream come true. Traversing these seas by boat is really the only way to explore the remotest islands of Philippines and discover their surreal beauty. And a trip like ours that doesn’t adhere to any particular schedule, that changes and evolves depending on the weather and the whims of its passengers, yet takes care of everything, is rare !!
This ladies and gentlemen, is an adventure, like no other!
This journey is not for everyone…
Before applying to take part in this experience you [and everyone in your group] must understand that what we are offering is not a tour or a hotel. This is a journey to the most remote islands in Palawan. We do not guarantee that you will have a nice “relaxing time”. In fact we do not guarantee anything.
It might be bad weather, it might be rough waves. Limited privacy. Barking Dogs, crowing roosters, mosquito bites, jellyfish stings, sunburn…but that is the nature of an island experience, the unexpected, the unknown, stepping outside your comfort zone.
We love it, but we understand that this is not everyone’s idea of a good time. You have to go with the flow and ultimately you are the deciding factor in the experience you have with us. This is a sociable trip for sociable people. You have to know that we only offer 50% of the experience, we offer the tools and framework for you to discover for yourself the true island culture of this remote tropical archipelago, The other 50% comes from you, your enthusiasm, your adventurous spirit, your conversations, YOU are the deciding factor.
…DO YOU STILL WANT TO JOIN THE EXPEDITION?
